Well...it was NOT just the fuse on the microwave...

So...Tracey and I went microwave shopping...went to our locally owned appliance store first...they have a "scratch and dent" area to look at.

So what we had choices of were the following.

Non-scratch and dent "basic" model for $250
Scratch and dent less basic microwave for $285
Damaged box but otherwise PERFECT convection/microwave top of the line for $319

We went with the convection/microwave combo...literally the box was damaged and nothing else appeared damaged...it was a normally priced $500 unit...I'll take $180 for a damaged box!

Took it home...it is mounted and Tracey is baking (yes BAKING) cheese cake cupcakes in the new unit...we'll see how they turn out...you can use metal pans in convection mode...so...if this works out...we'll just make lemonade out of the lemons we found yesterday with the old microwave...

Rob...took me less than an hour to get the new unit installed and she's already cooking in it...!

Joe.

I am happy to only have had to replace a microwave with all the destruction around us!

The chainsaws and woodchippers have been going all day!

There are folks that won't have power restored until mid next week and the temps are in the 90's!!!

Good evening Indiana and friends! Kiss June good bye, here comes July. Where has all of the year gone? Sorry to hear of all of the destruction there Joe. Those must be the severe storms that passed North of here yesterday afternoon. Have a great Sunday everyone.
