Exclamation New Toy! OPINIONS

I have a couple of questions about this truck i am about to buy.... i want to know what are your opinions on the spec of this rig? I have driven it on daily driver setting and at 40mph light traffic, didnt want to scare the guy selling it to me.
So heres my question- How powerful will it be and will the transmission handle it? is $17000 a fair price? also, is a non wastegated turbo something to worry about?
heres the Ad

"Today I am listing my 2000 Ford F250 with the 7.3l Powerstroke Engine, 4r100 auto trans. The truck has 120k on the clock, as many of you know this is considered low mileage for these engines. The truck has tons of aftermarket parts including:

6.5" Pro Comp Lift with 4 new shocks
Dual Stabilizer
New Kuhmo Mud Terrain Tires -37x13.5x20's
20" KMC Monsters
2007 Headlights with HID's
Foglights with HID's
Custom Black Grill ( Black grills are impossible to find for these year trucks)
2007 Tow mirrors
Aftermarket CD Player with MB Quartz componets in the front
Alpine 6x9's in the rear
2 tweeters in the back and 2 tweeters on rear view mirror ready to hook up
LineX bed
Recon Cab Lights
Cowl Hood
Triple Gauge A-Pillar (boost, EGT, Pyro)
New Starter
New Alternator
New AC Compressor
External Transmission Filter
Engine Coolant Filter

Motor Work:
Swamps Hybrid Injectors 200cc/30% (6,000 miles)
Custom Tuned 6 position chip (1st 3 are by Swamps: stock, high idle, tow Last 3 by PHP 100 performance, 140 extreme, 140 smoke show)
4" turbo back exhaust dumped after rear axle
New Non Wastegated Vans Turbo with wicked wheel
EBPV delete pedestal
Cold Air Intake
New glow plugs and glow plug relay
new water pump
ICP Sensor
New Injector Cups
Adrenaline HPOP

All the fluids were just changed, both diffs, transfer case, trans ETC. The oil is changed between 3000-5000 miles . The truck is 12 years old and has some dings and scratches but they aren't that noticeable. I use the truck occasionally to pull my 30ft 5th, the trailer weighs just under 12k and the truck tugs it around just fine.

The truck gets tons of attention and looks every time I drive it.

Give me call with any questions

You couldn't buy a truck and do those mods for that price. Just depends on if you think the mods are done right and is not abused.

Its a 370-420 hp truck...

Turbo is a fine drop in, stocker with a 1.15 housing on it.

17k is high, but with the low miles if the interior is nice I would do it.

I would expect to get about 12-14k for mine if I were to sell it.

To be honest with you that is a lot of truck for the money if you look at everything that this guy has put into it. I dont see a listing of what gears it has in it or any trans. mods.
Yes the trans will handle it but for how long who knows..... If its a bone stock trans be expecting to step it up down the road soon, if you can live with that get it. I have 115K on my truck with the mods in my signature and my trans just went out 2 days ago. Non WG turbo isnt a problem at all, its the same turbo that came off of a 7.3L but a Van, it has a bigger 1.15 exhaust housing which helps with EGTs, the van doesnt come with an intercooler which is why that turbo is on them, its also what I have and a few other guys have too, its an upgrade.
If you can and I dont know how much you know about a diesel or a 7.3 but if you dont know anything or much about them take someone who dos know about them to go with you and go threw it

What do you drive now? Can you drive another stock PS to get a feel for the mods this guy has done? I am not keen on the color ( personal pref) or the lift. With the low miles i voted 16k since that is what i paid 4 yrs ago for mine with the mods in my sig but it had 155k.

Be sure you know ALL the mods he has on the truck. Have him explain what they do to/for the truck. You will need to know all this if something breaks. We can help you with the repairs but we need to know what is on the truck to help you.

Your bud may not know about mods. I don't know if they teach this stuff in school.

about the nonwastegated turbo...does this cause a spike in backpressure when letting off the throttle at high psi? can this blow my heads?
i am wondering how to monitor my boost gauge when getting on the throttle or if i need to worry about it at all?

It just goes right out the exhaust and no youll be fine. Does that truck have head studs?

Back Pressure does not blow heads... Back pressure is 60-150psi...

Cylinder Pressures are 1000-3500 psi...

Is the truck from the south? What is the condition of the interior (leather/cloth). If so, I would say it is worth it. I will agree that you cannot buy a bone stock truck with that many miles on it and do those mod's for that price.
