This is the one...

The picture makes it look really good, it needed a paint job pretty bad. It's got a lot more rust on it now though, he uses it pretty regularly to pull their small cattle trailer. Has a 390 with the 4spd... it was a blast drive, but a little challenging when I drove it in Omaha rush hour! No power steering/brakes.

I love it! Paint is a non-issue with me, as I will most likely end up painting whatever I buy anyways. That one is in much better shape than the one I am drooling over, haha.

My dad bought a brand new highboy in 1975... I was only 7 when he got it, but I still remember the day he brought it home. I learned to drive in it in 1984, after my two older sisters had beat the crap out of it.

Some day I will own one Rob, just have to find one worth buying.. Everything around here is so rusted out it is beyond what I am willing to fix. I found one in town that a guy was using for plowing snow (and obviously had been for quite some time) and the frame was literally in about 5 different pieces, you can imagine what the body looked like... still was asking $2500 for it, with the plow. Hahaha!.... HA!

Howdy Shawn!

I know what you mean Brandon... that's why I took the plunge and bought my current truck. Had the cash, and found a great truck. Took me 20 years of dreaming to get to that point. Now, I'm thinking about selling it 3 1/2 years later... go figure.

Your truck is too nice for what I have in mind Rob, otherwise I would be all over it.

I think part of my problem is I want a truck I'm not afraid to drive whenever I feel like it. I've got plenty of chips, and a couple small dings in my truck now, and it just makes me mad since it was perfect when I got it. Guess I should of found something not so nice to begin with, but around here, if it hasn't had a complete restoration, it's a pile of junk.

That is pretty much how anything is around here, too.. My 95 was rusted pretty bad when I bought it (and I have more to fix, now...) but now it is pretty decent. Most people wouldn't be able to tell I patched it, either.

I know it.. I love his truck, but it is too nice for what I want right now. I am looking for an old high boy, and I have my eye on one.

You'll find one when the timing is right, I'm not a fan of red vehicles anyway, are you?
