A/Os 1/2 ton axle rebuild and SASsy thread -with a pic or two
#109
Dear Paul,
Im going to give you Steve. The effer completely fubar'd the steering on my landmower and got so drunk I had to help him get home. Oh, and my can basket is full again.
Both bars are completely welded, sanded smooth and ready for powdercoat. The axle brackets are welded on and the frame brackets are bolted up. I guess you can call them done for now. I still need to figure something out for mounting the rear shocks. Originally I planned to weld tabs to the back side of the axle but his exhaust is in the way. I guess Ill end up moving them around a little and build some brackets off the side of the traction bar mounts. I dunno...guess Ill figure that one out later.
Some pics of the axle brackets tacked on
some welds - Miller 252 .035 wire 75/25% Argon/CO2
All done
Install tape on thumb because youre an idiot and you mushed(mushed, not mashed) it and drink beer.
