1978 F100 carpet.
Good morning.
I am getting ready to replace my carpet.
Has anyone ordered carpet from LMC? Now LMC has a seperated carpet outfit, is it any better / different then the old one? what are the other option?
Is there anyone in Canada that supply carpet for old Truck?
What kind of backing should I asked.
any tips or comments are appreciated, before i order.
thanks

I purchased mine for my '78 F10 off of eBay...it has been installed for almost 2 years now...haven't had any issues. I ordered it with a longer cut in the back...that way I could make the turn up the back of the cab to help with noise reduction. I as well didn't order the extra backing...I coated my floor pans with bed liner spray as well as sound pad...cut down on road noise and has a very smooth feel under the foot...

Been needing to buy some carpet from LMC but haven't got that far yet...
LMC makes good OEM stuff and there proud of it. I was thinking about running the EVA sound deadener and/or heat shield to help with noise and/or maybe being able to block out some of the heat that rises thru the cab

Most is made ovevseas and it is not anywhere near OEM Quality. they have no quality control, well I guess they do, the end user. I kept the carpet and pad, many other items were returned. They will help if your not happy but they are still just high volume resellers. My Rant, sorry Also I have the EVA and will return it.
But it does say in the catalog that there re-sellers. I've never had any problems with parts I've ordered but I've only ordered a dozen things in the last 10 years

I bought a part from them because their catologue made it sound like it was the best, it was delivered in it's original "Dennis Carpenter" box and cost $100. more than DC's site! be careful and shop smart .
Always ask a fellow FTE member first and try used/ recycled oem parts first!
