Just added 4"MBRP and Matts SRL tune
Today I installed a 4" MBRP stainless turbo back exhaust with muffler and cat. I also uploaded Matts SRL tune using the SCT3 tuner.
My truck is pretty much stock except I have ARP studs and blue spring update. With the new exhaust and tune the truck really goes like gang busters now! However, it now smokes ALOT from a dead standstill start when I floor it. It also still seems to have excessive turbo lag. Once the turbo starts developing boost (2-3 seconds) it takes off like my old turbo Daytona! Is this amount of smoke normal ? Lag normal??
I had some combustion issues recently but I thought I had resolved them with a new EGR and cleaning all the other sensors and pipes going to them. No new DTC's since.

Hey Mark!! Thanks for the quick reply. The FICM is going to Ed for the upgrade and Atlas 40 tune on WED. I had intended to already have it done before the exhaust and Matts tune was installed. Then I got stuck at work for 27 days straight working 12-16 hrs a day and I was driving the truck and couldnt pull the FICM and be without it for a week. "Best laid plans" kind of thing! Hopefully the FICM will reduce the lag.
After the FICM /repair/upgrade/tune I plan on doing the CCV mod you have in the tech folder. I do get oil in the CAC tubes and Im hoping that will resolve that.
