does it matter what rocker assembly to use on y block??

does it matter what rocker assembly to use on y block??

I have a 1959 292 with 1956 312 heads does it matter what rocker arm assembly to use 1.43:1 or 1.54:1 as long as i have the matching pushrods does it matter?

That would be a good question to post in the Y-block section or over at Yblocks Forever!


Otherwise, I don't think you'll ever notice any difference as long as you use the same on both sides.


I don't know what I have on mine. It would matter if you were trying to build up a high HP high RPM engine though.... I think the hot rodders use the 1:54 's
