I was looking at it and thinking, That's not so bad.

But my 1960 is my first truck project, everything else has been unibody cars, so just having a frame to work with is a change for me. The floors wouldn't scare me, but how is the rust inside that door pillar where the bottom hinge mounts?

usable. The door hinge section is good enough to work with, but the surrounding area is gone. Makes it easy to get in there..

Well, getting a new body is out. I ran into another car cost and I'm short on cash. I did just order some panels from classic fabrication. hopefully that will fix most of my issues. I know I will still have to do some filler pieces.

I'm looking at replacing the cab braces too. I wonder if the classic fab parts are better than the LMC or do they come from the same place?

I think classic fab makes them in house. Call them, he's not up to date on prices or paypal ect.. but he was nice enough on the phone. I believe they restore cars also. His plans are to get modern asap.

I think it's home made. It's glass and has a thin aluminum surround and a piano style hinge on the bottom. Probably the best built item on the truck. It is drilled for the hinge and the upper corners have bolt locks on it. I'd guess he found a reverse stencil and used a glass etching kit from a hobbie store.

I sent a PM with my contact information. Real glass instead of a plexi is an interesting choice. I guess with it being set up for tow no real chance of things sliding in to it.

well it's just keeps getting better... I was able to remove the front clip, no to bad but all I found was trouble.

Looks like I'm going to have to find a radiator support.

Anyone have one for sale?? and willing to ship?

And it looks like I over bought on floors I don;t think I need the passenger side front floor piece. and I only need 1/2 of what the rear floors are made of..

Here are my front door post lowers, Does anyone have a pic of wht they are supposed to look like?

Lastly I found a 76" wide flatbed in the junk yard on a 78 F250 4x4. I was thinking about picking it up for the rear and just go total "farm truck" on it. I doubt I will get 1/2 the cash I'm going to have into it. My thought was to at least make it useful if it's going to be ugly. Do the 57 up long beds go for anything $$ ? I'll probably just prop it up until I decide what I should do to it. Just a thought. It's not a factory flatbed but a decent store bought unit.

thanks

bob

This last one the cab is upside down.

There are a few more in my gallery. Hopefully you can make heads or tails of them.
Good luck in your quest.

Here are a few pics that may be helpful. I don't have any close ups.

So, I'm done with the 60, I've pulled the engine and I'm parting out the rest. Here's a pic of the "new" truck it's a 59 f100 . It had an unfortunate accident on the way to my place. It fell off the trailer, and now sports some classic farm truck pin striping. PO unfortunately did not bring all that was part of the deal. I'm hoping to work that out mostly smalls , wheels, factory power steering, some weird hydro electric trailer brake, a modern dual master, . Oddly enough this truck had just about every accessory I could think of except the big back window..

it was in the garage before I could get a good pic. The rear is lowered and I plan to do the front once the engine is an and I get some cash together to lower it. Very little rust. I need a steering wheel.

here's the link to my ad if your interested in something. I'd love to keep the rack setup but I don;t think I can with how I plan to lower it. It was buttery smooth.
