Trailer wiring issue

Hi i recently wired a 7 Blade socket in place of the factory 7 pin and it tests alright, but when i hook it up to two of our trailers no matter what function i use it turns rev lights on. I am stumped because the trailer lights work fine with our other vehicles. Any ideas?
Thank you for your time.

Double (triple) check your wiring here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...g-diagram.html

Don't forget the ground wire from RV plug to the truck connection.

Yes i have checked them many times it has me baffeled becase as i said the all work fine and do not activate any other function when i test them but when i go to hook up to a trailer it only activates the reverse lights. It has me wondering if there is something wrong with the plug on the pickup, because i have it wired the way that diagram shows.
EDIT
I was wrong i had the revers wire and +12 volt mixed up, but more issues have arrisen

Have you opened the plug to look at it? Many have and said they have found much rust inside.

I have it figured out, while testing it the other day to get the rev lights to work i had the key on, well that caused the +12 volt power to be on and i mistoke that for the rev so thoes were swapped and i had troube because i had a diagram of the trailer side of the plug so that also messed me up.I also figured out that the fuse was blown causing the rev not to work. so hopefully that is all.
