Question Sound Supression

Has anyone used any type of sound supression material in their trucks. I have a 68 ford f100 and it is really noisy in the cab. I understand I am not going to get it super quiet but I would atleast like to be able to have a conversation in the cab without feeling like I am yelling.

LMC has a roll of sound suppression material, but I was wondering if it worked or if someone else had a better idea like some type of accoustical spray on stuff or something of the like. Thanks!

Fatmat, Boom Mat, or Dynaliner-Dynapad, then Dynamat.

Spray on? - Lizard Skin is about the most DIY friendly option.

I use Lizard Skin in all my projects and love it. I usually put some dynamat type product on the floor also, over the lizar skin.

NPD sells a kit for these trucks that does everything for like $325. That's what I'm eventually going to use, applied over Lizardskin. Dynamat on the inside of the outside of the door shells (I really hope you can follow that, it's the best way of saying it I could think of) has paid off big,as well as on the roof under the headliner.

I'm going to try torch-on roofing because it was free. With contact cement, not a torch though.

I use a loud radio and don't converse in the truck.

When it gets hot in the cab that stuff is gonna smell real bad so unless you like the smell of tar I would rethink.
