One option to ponder

I scored a complete running driving 85 crown Vic and decided to use it for all mechanicals and electrical and just subframe the truck. Your truck should have the same wheelbase where mine had to be extended 8" from the original car chassis. I have a build thread out there somewhere. Just think of it as using the stock chassis from cab mount to running board mount as a sling, inside the stock car chassis dimensions . My parts are mostly stocked on the shelf locally with some options to upgrade, and carb converting the 302 from cfi was easy to do. No ecu to wire or keep smog system active.

Way to go Ax! just kidding. Who knows, you might have saved the guy his marriage or at least a huge disappointment. The stark truth is good. There is a reason High Schools often have a rally where they display a mangled wreck with a cheerleader covered in fake blood hanging halfway out the busted windshield.

MO? not sure where ya got that, but the Truck originated in Manitoba, Canada. I'm rebuilding her in Alberta. If ya got pics of your truck, post a link and I'll check it out.

sometimes these threads get a bit tricky. Back on post #8 the original poster said he was from MO. This is one reason it's nice if everyone added there location to their profile - just say'n - hint hint nudge nudge.
