Thank you for honing my recall, Ms Barb. I would have been a mere 10 years old in 1956 for goodness sake. Meeting Barbie at 13 makes more sense... as a 10 year old I wouldn't have appreciated such beauty. When my daughters came along in the early '70's, Barbie became a major part of our household. We had two of everything Barbie needed... the Dream house, the Corvettes, the motor home. I sometimes wonder if I am still paying for all of that? Granddaughter Barbies have enjoyed handcrafted items from self and Granny.... six of the 9 grandkids are girls. Grandson, the elder, comes over to work on his car... or help with my truck. Grandson, first grader, helps me make cars his size for him to drive. Grandson last is still not talking. West Texas Barbara sends her regards, as I send my best. Himmelberg

Mr. Fenders,

Shoes were definitely an option unless you got the Preppy Ken Bob doll....that's the one without the chaw of tobacco, without the 3 piece suit (overalls, shirt, hat) and with the clean fingernails (didn't work on his F100).

And Mr. Himmelberg, I have the original Trailer trash Ken Bob and Bobbie Sue, complete with single wide and car on blocks, dog under the porch and naked kids.

Always looking for the finer things in life

Hands

George

I know what you mean. I particulary enjoy reading the posts coming from any state where Nascar is a recognized religion. You know who you are.
