Are there any differences in the Bronco and F150 Body Mounting Sets that you see from LMC Truck... or from parts sellers like this?

I'm wondering if I can use the "Bronco" bushing/mounting set on my 1978 F150... and not on a Bronco?

Any thoughts?

 

My guess is it would work but your gonna have extra parts. Trucks dont have as many mounts. Also I have seen poly truck mounts on amazon for $50 - $60. In short it looks like you might spend more money than you need to for this kit.

 

^ Exactly, you're paying more for the Bronco kit to get extra bushings you do not need, save yourself $40 and buy the correct kit...

third. I have the truck kit from energy. The bushings are totally different than my stockers, though. I had to buy new bolts and hardware.

 

I have a set of Energy suspension mounts for a f250 pick up, the rear cab bushing is about 1/8 thicker than the front cab bushing, each half has it's own number. These #s are for upper half of each mount, the half that goes between the body and frame. Also what crazy96863 is correct!
I used a complete oem rubber kit from JBG Because body lines were not perfect with poly, I may cut some shims and attempt it again one day but my oem lasted 35yrs. Buy the right kit for our truck.

if your stock bushings lasted 35 years, congrats, thats about 25 years longer than any of the ones I've seen. lol. granted all my trucks were older than that when i owned them, but the stock rubber bushings have been GONE, just dry rotted, the steel hardware rusted to pieces or rusted in one piece, the rubber cracking or gone completely. The poly stuff will last, potentially, forever.

I can see how the lines might not match up. not a concern for me since I have a flat bed. but like I said, my bushings are different than my rubber ones. They fit in there, but they are a different shape and design.

 

I do agree, never thought I would ever put rubber back, it's on the list of things to do, the rubber just gives me time. My truck came from Az. so rubber had a rough life, no rust but plenty of dry rubber.

Usually they have some sort of vehicle dropdown box thingy like Ebay has where it will tell you whether or not they will fit your vehicle, but I don't see it on either of those links that you posted.

How'd you know which to order?

I looked these up using my F100. I'm sure the mounts are the same.

Still it is a good idea to verify for yourself since it's your money. Amazon usually lets you punch in the make model year of the vehicle verify fitment on the same page as the product. If for some reason this isn't working you could always look up the product again using normal channels. You can also reverify by looking up the part number on another site for example Summit racing.

 

Thanks for the help. I went back to the normal channel on Amazon cause the links you sent me seem to be gutted for everything (makes amazon look funny to me hahaha, not what I'm used to).

I think I'm just going to straight up order those bushings today so that I get them when I need them (couple of weeks).

Looks like they fit F150 2WD trucks just fine (according to amazon).

 

You know what I've had products that I've bought from Amazon that were not quite what I intended and they been phenomenal about returning them or just giving me credit and telling me to dispose of them. On any kind of major purchase I always double check the prices with Amazon because they're just amazing to deal with.
