not sure how good it would do tho...if a cleaning fluid were passed thruas well, that would improve this approach, even better - some sort of 'scrubber' that would not get stuck or leave deposits. Bad and old gas sticks/varnishes up. My suggestions seem more involved than simply replacing the lines.
Here's wishing you luck and success with the project.

My friend who is a pro mechanic figured out what was wrong with my truck right now... My carburetor is drowning my pickup truck.

He is trying to see if it is a defective carter and needs to be replaced. It already has been rebuilt it's just my carb keeps pooring mass amounts of gas into my intake thus suffocating it. which is causing my black spark plugs the excessive gas is frying my plugs.

Thank god its just a carb and not the whole engine.

what mods have been done to the 400? When we were 20somethings we'd laugh ('78 Bronco would go by w/1) "there's a pig" - it wuz the gas crisis yrs. Now I have more respect for them. Some change the intake, improve the valve train & carb (not sure of other mods or specifics to these) & have a nice motor. What besides the 3 I listed improve the motor & what are the details on these changes? Can U post?
Thanx...
