fuel injection

hi everyone, im building a 351w, its gonna have 9:1 compression, edelbrock cam, headers, i was planing to use an edelbrock 600 carb but now im kinda interested in injection. i want to put the engine in a mid 70s truck. i was wondering about grabbing the injection off a newer 351w and using that insted of a carb, i know it would have to be a mass air system to work with the performance stuff in the engine. would this work? would i get any more power? what all would i need to grab off the donor engine to make it work? any ideas on how much this would cost?

fuel injection

Pretty much everything off of the donor will be needed- the manifold, throttle body, wiring harness, computer, etc. I would recommend replacing the sensors, and also the injectors. You may want to grab the tank and pump while you are at it. While you are at it, you might want to grab the serpentine belt system. An efi system will mostly give you better driveability and fuel economy, along with a more balanced mixture, and cold start ability, but not really much more power.
