a reason that '86 ford bronco's wont start
ok, you've changed the entire ignition system and the truck still wont start for you. try checking the wires coming off the plug from the distributor module. locate the one that leads to the coil. on mine it's a green wire with a yellow stripe. that wire runs from the distributor into a cable wrap through the plenum to the coil. near the plug the wire inside the insulator had turned to powder. i went to napa and bought a new plug with wires assembly and spliced all the wires back together again. she started right up with no problems.
in conclusion, if you've changed the ignition system, your getting gas and spark and there's absolutely no reason that your '86 bronco2 isn't starting, try cutting and checking to see if that green wire with the yellow stripe is corroded in the insulation. if anyone would like to add to this as to why that particular wire rots out even i'd be interested in knowing.
