97 ranger 2.3 l 4 r44e auto trans with the 2-3 slip so until time was available to gt back on that problem it sat about a month and ran great( other than trans slip) when i parked it i did pull a code when pulling trans code og po7004 i believe it was the solenoid stuck code its been a while since then so im going by memory on that i replaced the solenoid in valve body and the VB rebuilt tech bulletin fixes recommended same prob. then waited until i had time to try more and it wont start i originally thought it was fuel after reading posts shout a little either in air intake it ran for a few secs , but pulled bed and fuel pump runs check pressure its 37 PSI at the fuel rail shrader valve, then after reading more i thought back on codes and it had a PO303 i think it said on the actron reader i use misfire on cyl. 3, so i started thinking after reading CPS and am currently working on that, should have it tomorrow but as i read more and thought about this stuff but still appreciating feedback or ideas what about pcm or eec could it be causing both probs. ? because i have spark and fuel and air, but wont start unless the ether ? one of the posts i read said the ICM on this year was in the computer now ? it acts like injectors or park timing is off just the way it sounds when turning over no hint of firing and i have checked timing belt its on and in time. Im out of practice here i used to be well versed on automotive repair but have fell by the wayside, so Im looking for help and ideas because theres so many new additions now days. sorry such a long post but i wanted to give info to work with if more needed , just let me know ill get the answers and post back
