For sale i have a 460 7.5l v8 out of a 91 f-350 motor has 156000 miles on it was running when pulled. I also have a ZF-42 5spd manual transmission that will bolt up to the 460 $1000 for both or $400 for the transmission and $700 for the motor call or text Evan at 1(901)834-5758

Holy cow...$700 for a 460 with 156k on it!!! That's a lot of money for motor with that many miles on it

 

I suspect that is a ZF5 S42 tranny. The S42 is the one that went behind the 460's and 351's, although those two had different bell housings. (And input shaft lengths and shaft/spline sizes, etc.) $400 for the tranny isn't bad, but I got the same one and a transfer case, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch linkage, and pedal assembly for $500.

 

I just posted it in case someone might be interested. I don't have any idea what used 460 motors and ZF transmissions are going for around here, but I don't see them come up very often. I wouldn't pay that for it, but then, I don't need it. If someone needed it though, they could probably talk him down some. But there it is, such as it is. Good or bad.

 

Thanks for throwing it up there Ron!! If it were closer I would contact the guy! I'm contemplating doing a build on my C6, but have also thought about doing the ZF5 swap. Will eventually pull my 460 and do a build on that too.

If this guy was closer, and I could get the combo for around $750, I would probably scoop it up.
