Name Suggestions For My Truck

Hey everyone. Ive been on here for a while, and had my truck for two years. Ive just been basically been fixing/repairing/replacing things that needed it. Still a work in progress as far as cosmetic items.

But I have wanted to name it, just because I think it would be cool. I can't for the life of me, think of anything. So, can I get some suggestions? Thanks!

P.S. Some backround info: Started as a 2wd 84 150 with the 300 4 speed. Cab was placed on a same year 4x4 frame with a 302 4 speed.

After I got a set of dash bezels from the junkyard that said "Ranger XLT", I thought those Ranger trim package was way cooler than the newer XLT. So I am slowly making this truck in to an 81 version. (Some of you would think I should have stayed with the 84 stuff, but its fun to me.)

Thanks again!

Never named anything I've owned, well in the way of automobiles anyway. Never thought it was important.

But anyway, the way the rear sticks up, why not stink bug? Just kidding, couldn't pass it up.

I was thinking along the Frankenstein lines as well, maybe Frankentruck? Or, something like Johnny Cash's Cadillac that was made out of parts from all the years.

As for converting it to '81, there is one thing you don't want from '81 - the door locks. Stick with the pin-style as the sliders were not a "better idea". They ran for two years and then went away. I own two 81's and neither can be locked.

Dang it. That was another of my beer fueled posts above. Gotta stop that.

Mine is just "Blue". Wife calls it "the old one" while the Superduty is "the big truck".

How about (in the spirit of, but not too cliche, "beast" & "tank"-esque names) ...."wooly bully"...?

Just a thought.

I'd been thinking that too.

"Red rider, this is the cottonmouth in the psychobilly cadillac. Uh, negatory..."

There were a few late 81 Custom/Ranger trim trucks built that had the pin style locks from the factory, so if he goes for the late 81 look, he'll still be period correct.

And if nobody noticed, O.P. actually found himself a factory fog light instrument cluster bezel.

Thanks for all the responces guys! The ones that stand out too me so far are:
Wicked
Bully (For bullnose)
Rangerstein
Blackie (Or similar color related name)
Psychobilly

I actually have parts from every year 80-86. I'll be keeping the pin locks.
Kevin: Yup, in NH. I guess the wife dont like the winters up here?
