Its Alive, but not 100% healthy
Today was a re-firing day for the 65 slick. I've slowly added parts / systems as I could afford them, and the one thing I don't have... time.
Here's a youtube link to the grouchy old ******* as I wake it up. I have a ways to go, and need to figure how to time this beast. Also, it seems to be running super rich, almost drowning in fuel.
Sorry about the shaky video, teenager camera man musta been full of sugar.

Looking good!
About the super rich condition. What is the output PSI rating on that fuel pump? If over 5.5-6 PSI, a fuel pressure regulator is most likely going to be needed. Edelbrock says the max input PSI is 6.5 on these carbs, anything over that, and the needle/seats can "leak" fuel thru them, causing a pig-rich mixture. 5.5 PSI is plenty.
Also, check to insure the metering (or "step up") rods are pulling down at idle/low RPM.
Look down the throat of the carb, air cleaner removed, engine running. If fuel is dripping from one/both boosters, you have one of these issues.
If a FPR is needed, avoid the MrG/Spectre "dial" type. They are prone to leaks and very restrictive internally. The Holley 12-803 or Summit branded look alike (even has Holley on the side) are much better.
