Should I Buy a 2003 Expedition (Eddie Bauer) with 109k miles?

I am very close to buying this...

I love it. Everything I can see looks great. Engine sounds good. No rust, brakes seem good...shifts well.

I have been scrolling through here but thought it might be good to just start a post.

What are the things that start going wrong around 110K miles?

What should I make has been done?

Any specific things I should look for?

Thanks all!

I have a 2003EB coming up on 145k miles. Had it since new. Mechanically the truck has been solid, issues have been electronics mostly. Things I would want to know about at 110k miles that could cost some money (mostly maintenance items):
1. Have the plugs and COP insulators been changed? If so when?
2. Front wheel hubs original?
3. Front ball joints original, tie rod ends, sway bar end links, etc.?
4. Shocks original?
5. Rear end not making any noises, especially when turning at slow speed?

Problem areas inside (none of these are major):
1. Outside electronic mirrors can be flakey
2. Two blend door motors on HVAC in back tend to break (one controls temp the other flow)
3. Backup sensors can be flakey

I replaced the A/C compressor and receiver/dryer at about 135k miles. Other than lots of rattles and replacing driver window assembly the thing has refsued to die. Still a daily driver and still gets 10 mpg in town!

If it looks like it's been maintained properly, it's not rusty and the price is right, yes. My 01 EB, 5.4L, AWD just turned 110K problem free miles. My 97 XLT, 5.4L, 4X4 had over 183K when I sold it and it still ran, drove like it had 25K on it. They are long running vehicles if taken care of. Check the bottoms of the doors and the rockers, more so if it has running boards.

You are sour with good reason, doesn't mean they are all bad. Mine have been great. Not problem free, but after almost 300k miles in Expeditions I would still buy another.

i May Be Sour Yes, But I Got To Say, If I Were To Buy a Used Expedition
I Would Buy a 2001 Body Style Over The 2003,My Expedition Is Not Comfortable (I Stand 6'4") and It Just Feels (Tiny)It Does Not Feel Solid.
Lots Of Rattles and Yes More Over all Problems With Electrical Issues Out
of any Vehicle I Have Ever Owned.
I Had a 2001 Super Crew and That Thing was a Great Truck! First Vehicle I
Have Ever Had That If I Had The Seat All The Way Back, I Needed To Pull
Forward To Reach and Feel Comfortable At The Pedals.Very Solid Feel,
Way More Than The Expedition !
