My introduction and my 76' F-100

Hey there y'all JD here I am a high school student but have loved old pick ups for years. Now, that I have my own I figured I would introduce my self and show off my truck that has been in NC all it's life.

Plenty of plans for her just got find the time and space to do it all in. Money ain't to easy to come by as a student but right now the most reasonable is getting the original steering wheel, possibly paint job, maybe even redoing the the bench seat. But the major plans I got for her in the future is making her into 4x4 maybe, a small lift to get under easier also for looks, also would love to turn her into a manual instead of automatic.

Hey when your in high school you can't be to picky but the guy I bought it from is only the 2nd or 3rd owner, the truck has nice history and it is now in a great home. Also, it has a 5.9L 360 V8 with some flowmaster dual pipes.

Thats the truth I couldn't be to picky in my budget. I got a rust bucket with a 300 inline 6 and 4-speed but I love it. Workin this summer so I'll weld new floor pans in and bondo the bed sides.

I know where you are coming from my dad and brother picked up a 75' CJ5 and there was a lot of rust repair especially on the floor pans but it ended up sitting for years till we traded it in for a Bronco II. Surprisingly there is not to much rust I can see without getting under it. Gonna patch up two spots on the wheel wells and fix the rust behind the grill.

I got lucky with my 79, most of the rust is on the box. with a few tiny holes in the floor pans

Missed your last post, yeah its great we get these trucks to bring them back to their glory days instead of them rotting away. This truck is a gateway into me learning about trucks and how to work on them. Though I do wish getting a paintjob for it was easier and cheaper, would love to get it painted instead of sitting on its primer coat.

Yea, I'm glad there are people out there resurrecting these old beasts! The one I bought won't be to bad to restore I will just need to put the time into it!

I usually dislike manual transmissions but love them when they're in trucks like these for some reason. It makes them much more entertaining to drive.
