Am in process of refurbishing F600 dump truck. Has a FT/FE 361 CI engine with a Holley 4 barrel carb. Bought engine short block through machine shop and it came with all the needed parts to assemble, head work done by same shop. Have reassembled and am currently in need of parts to complete job. Need fuel filter, plugs, plug wire set, distributor cap & rotor, air filter, carb rebuild kit, radiator and both radiator hoses. All the sites I have found stop listing parts at F500 size. Not really interested in going to Ford when I can buy as good or better aftermarket. Question is, who or where? ALL advice and/or help greatly needed and appreciated! TIA

First, WELCOME to FTE!

Go to Napa. Or another local auto parts store. Napa has been said to have stuff for these trucks going WAY back. Can't hurt to try.

 

Thanks for the info. I was @ NAPA's site earlier and found all but lower radiator hose. Found upper so am sure they will have other also. One thing I found, knowlege wise, was that I have a F700 and not F600 as I thought. Vin #s can be treasure troves of info.

 

F500 will be the same, in fact:

Same V8 points/condensor/rotor/dizzy cap = 1958/73 Passenger Cars/Trucks, 1966/73 Bronco, 1969/73 Econoline / Ditto 1974/75's without DuraSpark electronic ignition.

The plug wires will be the same as 1958/73 FE engines, ditto 1974/75 without DuraSpark.

If the fuel filter is the type that threads into the carb, same as 1973/79 460 Passenger Cars/F100/350's with Holley 4V's.

Since you didn't mention the year, I have no idea what air cleaner element is required.
