I wish I had the $$$--CL F-8

It's not too often I find something like this in this area. If I had the $$$ I'd be down there tonight checking it out.

I have a feeling this might be a typo. If not it's not going to last long.

$1,500 Ford F800, 1948 10,663 original miles. Not running. Flat head 8 Model Number 88EQ-21937

Ford, 1948 F800

I'll have to go home tonight and see if my farmer son wants to buy it. Then I'll have both of them hooked.

It looks like it was probably a fire truck. Up here anything without the fenders falling off is worth something. Someone will probably buy it and make a rat rod out of it.

That really is a nice looking truck and I agree - the price has to be a typo. That's also a later model flathead but I've never seen one with the distributor in the back - what gives with that? Ken

It's the bigger 337 flathead.

Duane, you put up the cash and I'll go check it with you. You can even park in at my house.

Price might be right. I know around here a 1948 non-running truck at a farm auction would probably only garner interest from a scrapper, 'less the right person knew about it and just had to have it. Running or not, 'tis a bit small for farm use in these parts.

I'd love to have that truck. Too bad it's so far away.

You should check into it Bob just to verify the price, if it is correct you should be able to flip it pretty quick or add one more to your collection.

I tried the first option a couple of weeks ago, total flop, now I'm out $2K, or at least until I recoup from my son. I wouldn't mind the second option but I think the head of finance wouldn't think too highly of it especially since I failed at option one.
