My Sears tractor with its nice big 46 inch deck won't cut even and I'm forced to go back over it multiple times to clean up the "high spots". I have adjusted and leveled the deck multiple times and lowered it to 3 inches to try and compensate for it but it still cuts uneven. Is there an easy fix for this or could I have installed one of the three blades incorrectly ?

Which way is it uneven? If the center is cutting lower, it's likely your front axle pivot bushing is shot, letting it move back and causing the deck to hang low in the front. You should also check out the Sears/Craftsman forum over at mytractorforum.com, it's quite busy and some really knowledgeable people there.

 

It could be the blade shaft bearings.They will let it cut uneven too. I had one of my shaft housings work loose.It cut low in the middle on that side
