Freeing up a stuck / rusted choke cable
I'm starting to install controls in the cab. This was my "temporary dash" so I could start and run the rebuilt motor. Time to put the real things in. The old choke **** is in good shape. The cable is straight but rusted and froze. I've been applying penetrating oil and moving/bending it for two days without success. Any ideas?

Fixed it for you! ("FIFY", BTW)
Seriously, I spent a lot of time freeing mine up, and trying to get the kinks out of it, but it never worked smoothly and would hang up sometimes. Just not worth the aggravation. Believe it or not I got one at Pik-A-Part for almost nothing, works smooth as silk. If I hadn't I'd have got a new one, one with a nice thick center wire and casing.
