Question Engine Harness 6.8 to 5.4?

Hello, I have an 07 f350 that was originally a 6.8 when I got it. The engine was blown and I need to get it back up and running. I have an 07 5.4 ready and going in this weekend. I know it's backwards downgrading but it's all I have available and in the current budget. And a running truck is better than waiting for an engine as we all know.

Local ford will reflash the PCM to a 5.4 for me no problem. But as for the harness, is it modular like the engine. If I leave the extra coil and injectors off will the PCM just not use them? Fordparts shows the same part number for the harnesses, but could just be the online site. I'm going in Monday to check thier harnesses.

I'm trying to keep the cost down so I would love to grab one on CL, eBay or JY if possible. They want 500-700 for a new one. I don't mind doing a little harness work if I can keep costs down.

What cars share the same harness at the yard?

Does anyone have the 6.8 and 5.4 pinout for the main engine harness or will I have to try to grab it at ford?

Specs: 07 F-350 6.8(5.4 soon) 5r110w Torqshift

If anyone has a harness for a decent price hit me up. And Thanks for any help.

What truck did that 5.4 come out of?

F150
F250/350
Econoline
Expedition

Reason I ask is that each motor has a different intake

Re:

Sorry for the delay.

I'm not sure on the vehicle. Said F-150 on the tag but the motor mount on it makes me think its an Econoline. Here are some pics if it helps any. Going to Ford tomorrow to get some printouts and part # checks. I do have the old harness # tho if that helps, but it was cut during removal. I also have a few main PCM clips I had from the JY. So making my own shouldn't be to bad if I can find a pin layout for it. Would hate to demo the 6.8L harness just incase I find a V10 down the road.

Here's the cut 5.4L harness.

Here is the valve cover #'s

Throttle

Upper Intake Manifold

Throttle body to upper Intake elbow

Main connector.

Hope some of this helps and again thanks for the help.
