Yes, I would much Much MUCH prefer that I have a truck with a manual transfer case and manual hubs(hence the super duty as opposed to 150). You are correct, to my knowledge as well, that nothing much changed in the 08's. I believe the 08's got bigger/longer leaf springs, but that was mostly it. I do like the look of the 08's, but there seems to be a bit more hanging down in regards to suspension, and the front end on those trucks.

I dont know all the details and the differences between the model years. My way of thinking is to just get the latest technology I can afford. The biggest sway for me was the newer interior which IMO is a major improvement over the previous year trucks. Not important to some but it is to me. Not to mention everything around the interior is newer as well. Mabe not different, but newer.
I knew I didnt want a 5.4 cause my buddy complained about his lacking power so I got the V10, not to mention it was cheaper than an 06 6.0 with less miles. Some may have went with the diesel, but I felt like it would be too many headaches for my situation. I have to admit my truck found me. I was driving by the stealership and saw the truck 2 months before I bought it. The one day I stopped I bought it. At the time I didnt know half about these SD's that I do now (which is still nothing) haha. Everyones circumstances are different this is just my story.

I greatly appreciate your input, as your truck is easily one of my favorites on the forums. Almost exactly what I would like to find.

Jason, what kind of clearance do you have now(front and rear axle) with the bigger tires?
