Atlas 40 ficm mpg
#32
While the PHP tunes help mileage out quite a bit (0.5-3 mpg is what I've been told from various of my customers, it seems, with an average of about 2), the thing to remember in any vehicle is that speed kills fuel economy. Drop from 75mph down to 70 and you'll see a difference. Drop from 70 down to the 'are we there yet' speed of 55mph and it will be HUGE.
Quite a lot of the mileage gain variance has to do with what tune the customer had on their truck to begin with. Those with the latest tune seem to see the largest gains, those with the earliest tunes see the least, but those are the same guys that have to plug their trucks in during the winter due to zero heat induction in the flash.

So true!! If I run 60-70 I can get 17.5 mpg! But I still have my stock FICM!! But she starting to go bad I think, Ed how much for a 3 year warntany? And how much for the Atlas 40? It wont be to much longer and I will have to send it to ya!! Right now my scangauge says 47-47.5 very rarely does it it 48! Some times a slow start only when it's been a few days sences I drove it!!

Hey Sean -
47 to 47.5 volts is fine and not indicative of any issue. If you see it drop below 45, though, our premium service comes with a two year warranty and of course the upgraded parts for $325, Sean. All the tunes run a flat $150. Ship it on over if that becomes the case and we'll be glad to take good care of you!
