I was told #5 injector was bad. Replaced it just now and have the same problem. Rough idle , smokes blue , feels like its missing in low gears, clears out on the highway. Does this sound like a injector issue?

I know 99 is not having the OBDII too much developed, but scanning for codes might still be worth it.
For hand finding bad cylinder I am using infra red thermometer. Bad cylinder is always having colder head or exhaust.

Got 1 at Advance auto 50$. Looks like #2 cylinder is 30 degrees cooler than all the rest I'll try that injector.

Alright , so I changed the #2 injector and it runs the same. If I unplug the harness at the valve cover on the even side truck won't start . If I plug it back and unplug the odd side it starts. I just replaced the valve cover casket And harness. Same problem still.
Any suggestions???????
