I received a little surprise today when I checked my mailbox....a refund for $113 from Kanata Ford (Ottawa, Ontario) for the deductible on some warranty work I had done in October - IWE Actuator and Solenoid . The statement said " Refund Cust for Ded Not Required Coverage is PWRTRAIN"

Who would have known any different? Nice to see there is still some honesty left in the car business these days.

It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. During the Cash for Clunkers cluster F I traded in an old F250 on a brand new '09 Tacoma. They thought I only qualified for $3500 back on the F250. They called me a few days later and told me that actually the truck qualified for $4500 and they would redo the loan paperwork to reflect the $4500 and needed me to come in and sign new paperwork. I am sure they could have easily kept the extra grand. But in the same regard, I hear dealerships are heavily audited.

 

Great to hear! It is always nice to get money you are nt expecting...especially during the holidays!
