Gas smell and overflow
We just got home from The Smoky Mountains. Twice while in higher elevations we could smell gas. When our day ended and we were at our cabin I could see where gas had burped out the filler cap and ran down side of truck.
Any one had this before and do you think it was an altitude issue? Having it serviced this week and will talk to service turd.
Other than that the truck performed great in the mountains and the six speed really saved riding the brakes. After one long downhill using engine braking I checked the tranny temp and it was 201 and dropped to 197 real quick.
The truck started with a little over 8000 miles and we drove 2012 miles using 101 gallons of gas. Computer said 19.7 mpg average
