Got 4 more years on my esp warranty. Will see whats out there then. I will also be 69 then. Will see which of us lives longer. Hated the sound when I first got her home. Love it now. Sort of like a wife. Grows on you thru good and bad.
I'm trying to talk the wife into a new F150 just so that it'll be around for me to drive. I can't imagine trading my 6.0 for it, but I'd sure like to have one!
I'm turned off by any of the diesels after the 6.0. Not sure I would want one. So if I'm going to run a diesel, this is probably going to be it for the forseeable future. I still love driving it.
Im in this SAME BOAT TOO Bill Id rather get my Hand SLAMMED in the Door than Have one of them Newer Diesels
I would Literaly be Having Nightmares about the HPFP Taking everything out

Yea, I think you would skew the results on that one.
Oh no, I'm still loving mine, but I just got to thinking. I see a lot of "old timers" on here and I just had to wonder if I'm a freak ( don't really need to answer that) or are there other people that are still happy with their 6.0s now that their quirks had more time to show up.
A couple of weeks before I sold my 6.0, I was pondering the same question you just proposed. If the ole 6.0 goes boom, what would I do? At first, it was a no-doubt common rail Cummins conversion. Then I made the mistake of towing with a tuned 6.4, so now I pose the question to myself of what will I do if the 6.4 goes pop. That I dont know yet. When funds come together, I would like to kick the idea around of a common rail DT466, but that would probably cost as much as a 3000sq ft house at the moment.
72,000 miles and only problem was FICM replaced on warranty..except for a pair of wire insulation hungry squirrels who caused several thousand dollars damage. I just plan on driving it when I get extra money for diesel..I am retired on SS and trading is just not going to happen ..I love my 6.0 Ford Diesel!!
