Another month down...guessing everyone survived Halloween? Had some cute kids show up on the doorstep. Then the teenagers started coming in. Several of them proving yet again...teenagers are God's way of "getting you back" for enjoying procreation. Yeah, I used one of those fancy words I learned on Sesame StreetI leave the house in the morning, it's dark. In a couple of weeks when I get home it will be dark too. Look at the bright side (pun intended) at least it isn't 110F when you get to the house and still to mow the yard.

Luckily, I live in the country (macon) so I didn't have any visitors at all on Halloween. When I lived in Jacksonville, there were definitely a few pranksters running around the neighborhood.
Skinny pocket-book season is right.... so much to do before next summer to make my f250 safe to drive. Fix the speedo, swap the suspension for 1/4 ton suspension and axles, lower, try to paint (or at the very least get it primed/sealed), then tear the thing apart to start the audio portion of the build. So much to do...

I'm going to write a grant letter to Uncle Sam to see if they'll pay me to prove just how special Okies are. This afternoon coming back from "one more weekend before storage" with the camper; some clown jumps out in front of me in a Pathfinder. Now I was able to shut 'em down before doing some "middle of the road body work". But I don't like making panic stops like that. I let the 6.0L do a little talking when we got to a passing zone. To (use your own adjective) with the fuel mileage...time to show him this ain't your grandfather's Ford.Good looking truck Short of running them out of oil/coolant...can you ever really kill a 6.9L? The crazy things just seem to go for ever and they don't care. I'm not saying you'll blaze a trail...but they'll get there.

Probably not. The injection pump & injectors will give out before the long block will (from what Ive read).
Youre right, sure wont blaze a trail but I will get there. My '85 has been over weight several times but handled just fine. The tires are all I really worry about (when hauling & being used).

I do have to confess, I'm a fan of the '92-'97 body style over these recessed headlight box trucks...don't care for the interior of any of them though.

There is supposed to be some kind of big decision made today, but I can't quite seem to remember what it is. Oh well, back to work at the salt mine.Burning the midnight oil out at the shop tonight/this morning Joe?
