Rings are stuck. you'll have to mix some transmission oil, and wd40 Turn the engine top side up and squirt some in the spark plug . Let it soak a couple of days. put the flywheel back on, and get a flywheel turn tool, and try to turn it back and forth. Don't do the damper bolt, it will wring off/

If that don't work, the head has to come off, water got in from sitting.

I didn't know it was locked up

Got transmission oil and wd-40. I will go ahead and bolt the caps back on for now (untill I can get new bearings) and go ahead and turn the motor back topside and let it soak.

Put the bearings back in too, or you could scratch the crank fooling around, and then have to have it machined

It wasn't locked up when I pulled it out of the parts truck, if it was it would've stayed in it and went to the scrapyard with it.

I've had them "freeze" up from sitting. The condensation goes in the carb, and somewhere there is an intake valve open. Some rust forms, and it kinda locks up. Usually if you soak it, and work the crank back and forth, it will break loose, and clean itself up. Sometimes, they are tempramental, and you have to push the piston out, and clean the walls with a stone to "smooth" them up. usually not a big deal.

I turned the motor back over and did the tranny oil and wd-40. I cant bolt the flywheel back on cause there is not enough room while it is on the stand and I dont have a hoist at the house to take it off with, so the only way to try and turn it right now if but the dampener bolt. Should I be thinking about taking the head off???
