I have seen another one where the excavator while on the low boy trailer hit a rail road bridge and slid it off of the abutments.

My older brother did that years ago with a dump truck..

The bed rose up and he didn't see it..LOL

We have a few bridges around the area that are frequent "stops" for semi trucks when they hit the bridge

Im sur ehe was Don. We had one hereback in 1999. Took out a pedestrian walkway on the baltimore beltway. Killed 1 person. We just had one today that hit the toll plaza at the fort MChenry tunnel on 95. Guy failed to follow the route on the oversized load permit and tried to go through th etoll plaza. No injuries.

I have 2 bridges near y house on the way to work that show teh scars of being hit by trucks. The smallest of the two bridges is only 13'8" in clearance. On my way to work one day a few months ago a truck driver decided he wanted a convertable truck.
