I hate to do it but...

But my R/F tire has a bulge in it and is losing air because of a nail, plugging the tire doesn't fix the leak. Michelin LTX MS tires are not cheap and mine still have a good amount of tread on them, I may just replace two tires, what do you guys think?

I would try a used tire store or Craigslist for a possible match. You might get lucky....

Where did you get your tires that's on the truck now? If you have road hazard, the store would pro rate it and credit you on the new replacement.

Or, you could get a new tire and save it for the spare, put the current spare as the replacement.

nothing wrong with that

I have a lead foot and usually only 2 of my tires go bad at a time because of it. Just make sure the tires are similar size so the ABS doesn't get all funky

I doubt if mismatchig tires is a big deal contrary to popular belief. Nobody is going to see the difference either. Everybody freaks out about things they haven't actually experienced. I didn't have much money when I was younger but had over 50 vehicles over a period of time and I have dispelled many theories about how things should be. Isn't that how McGuiver originated and survived?

Only issue is mismatching on the same axle due to Revs Per Mile differences amongst tire manufactures. It can screw around with the ABS signals and, if on the rear axle, maybe the LS unit. Not a big deal with that though, Ford's Trac-Loc kinda sucks anyway.

To the OP: my pants had a bulge in it when I saw my wife after we'd been apart a few days. We took a nice hot, soapy shower together and the bulge went away soon after.

You might want to take a shower with your tire.

(Highly recommended that you stay the **** away from my wife.)

What brand is your spare tire?

My spare is one of the temp tires , never has been on the ground.

I looked at CL, seems the Ex's tire is a little differnt size than most listed. I definitely need the E Range. I have a buddy at a Ford dealer, he is pricing me a couple of tires. Whatever I do the good tires with tread will not be trashed, I will be saving it/them just in case.

No issue at all putting a pair of tires on, just keep them on same axle.

I like to buy 5 tires at a time and have a matching spare wheel. Put the 'spare' on the ground at every rotation and ya get 20% more miles on a set of tires - or ya have a matched set if one fails or gets wrecked.

The only thing with doing this on mine is that the rim on the spare doesn't match.

I hit CL and got 4 matching factory Aluminum rims with bald tires for $100. I put a matching tire on 1 for me to have a completely matching spare. I have 285/75r16's. I can now rotate it it to get more miles out of the set. I gave 1 to my brother to do the same. I still have 2 rims in the shed if I have a rim problem too. Just a thought as a lot of guys get newer and bigger rims and just want to get rid of the factory ones.
The only downside is it will take me forever to wear out this set of tires so I can't get bigger ones any time soon.

Well, she is getting 2 new tires. I took them off, put them in my other SUV to take them to the shop and it had a dead battery. Jumped it off, going to get it a new battery today at lunch. My Ex will have new tires tonight.

Check your alternator if that battery has died prematurely.

The new tires are on but the white letters are different. My wife wants to know when we will match the tires up. I told her that her car needs tires now and then we will worry about two more for the Ex.
