will this intake fit on my bronco
#2
If the intake fits a 400M it will fit a 351M, they are the same in every way besides the internals. I don't know about the headers but intake will work as long as it fits one of the 2 M motors.

I googled that number & it comes up valve covers. Edelbrock Performer 400 intake works on both so that one should too. Only difference between 351 & 400 is crankshaft & pistons. Headers should fit the heads, but could be for cars, trucks, Broncos. You will have to try & see. There are fenderwell exit headers, inside frame headers, and shorty headers for Broncos & 4x4 trucks.

IIRC the Streetmaster was an "economy" intake manifold. Built to give you better mpg. And of course, for the street, hence it's name. It and the headers will fit both "m" engines, however, as stated above, the headers may be designed for a different vehicle than the Bronco.

A good 351m/400 intake gasket will work fine, Fel-Pro is a great brand.
I wouls look into a 650-750 Carb. Edelbrock makes a sweet off-road carb with spring loaded neddles and floats so it won't stall out on angles.

Are you sure you not talking about the Holley Truck Avenger series? From what Ive heard, they are not very street friendly.

Edelbrock sells spring loaded needle and seats for off road or marine applications. You can also put a piece of vacuum hose in the channel that connects the left and right side fuel bowls. Without it the carb will flood one side or the other when on severe angles while starving the other side.

They should be the same as the Edelbrock's. That is the patent that Edelbrock built their carbs off of.The carter AFV is the same as the dual feeds and the AVS is the same as the vacuum secondary Ede's. I dont know a lot about them, but, there are two guys that hang out in the 1980-1986 bullnose section that know all about them. Gary Lewis is one guy. That is his screen name as well and Bill Vose (85lebaront2). Gary knows the Carters inside and out. Bill used to have a carb shop and he knows all of them like the back of his hand.
Gary lives a few miles from me and he and I work on stuff together often. Gary hosts the GTG's at his shop. Both of the guys I mentioned above are excellent people and they will do whatever it takes to help people. That forum section is a little more formal than most of the other sub sections here. They dont like the text shorthand over there or anybody that acts disrespectful. I am just saying this because I see a few new members go in there acting silly and they dont get a warm welcome. However, anybody that goes there acting like a respectful person that respects a little education never has a problem. In a nutshell most of those guys are 60 yrs old or older and dont want to mess with trying to read a thread that isnt written out in ledgable English.
There are also a lot of 351M and 400 guys there too. I personally think that section(80-86) provides some of the best knowledge and answers here at FTE. I am not saying anything bad about the other sections. I am just saying it is my favorite. My Bronco is a 1987. My truck was the last yr the 351W had a carb. I got started going to the 80-86 section because my truck is very similiar to the bullnoses. Also like I was saying it has some of the best carb guys hanging out there.
