Just came home from around a 60 mile test drive of the new frontend.I have to say for the first time it truly was fun to drive my old truck. The difference it made is truly remarkable no more nervous twitching following ruts or constant correcting of the wheel.Anyone able to do this swap will definitely be well rewarded.
Good to hear you are happy with the swap. Now all you have to do is learn how to drive your truck. You know exactly what I mean. You are so accustom to outrageous body roll, as you said chasing ruts & constant correcting of steering. Then of course there is the brakes Never really thought your old truck would stop like that did you? How tight you can turn now. Not knowing where your rear is at but with the 1 1/2" drop springs up front I have a 7 1/2" rake. Once I took 3" out of that handling got better. Then of course when the IRS went in it only got better.
If you want the nose a bit lower Eaton Detroit sells drop springs. Mine were something like $225 & that was shipping & all. Ideally you want the lower control arm parallel to the ground. Pics, pics, pics!

I have not touched the rear yet so the front is plowing a bit.I read extensively your thread but decided on an explorer rear but they seem a little to expensive for now.So for now I will flip the rear and drill the axles for the car pattern.I am sure when the truck is more level the handling will be even better.
