sounds like a great price, just trying to remember what wally mart has been selling for. I will have to check stock. I wont need to do a service for a while though. I only drive 500mi/mo.

My local walmart has it for $12.82 I think, their Delvac and Rotella are up to $13.37 I believe.

 

Back in early 99 when I got my truck Delo was 7.99...

Is this "THE" oil to use?

 

X2. Is there something special about this oil, seems everytime it is on sale it gets brought up. Or is it just a good deal and people are letting others know? I run Rotella which I thought was good but if this is better then so be it. Thx

 

There is no THE oil to use. Delo, Rotella and a few others are good. Synthetic is better. Mine has run close to 300K on a steady diet of Delo. Used Rotella the last three or so times and put Rotella synthetic in it this change. I have already bought 4 more gallons of synthetic and am still trying to decide if im gonna run it year round or cooler days only.

 

I am debating on running Syn this winter for snowplow season, just very scared to cause problems on switching. Don't want stuff to start leaking.
