1986 F-350 dually Diesel

Year: 1986
Make: Ford
Model: F-350
Price: $2500
Mileage: 148536
Color: Gun metal grey
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): VA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
Color: Gray
Engine: 6.9L Diesel V8

I have a 86 F-350 dually for sale. It is a Cab and Chassis. It is in very good shape for the year with only minimal dings and dents. It has a 6.9L diesel engine, ZF5 manual tranny, 87 dually bed, single cab, and has roughly 148536 miles on it. Engine runs like a pro. AC blows cold.
The pros:
New glow plugs
New bed bolts
Bed and frame work
Replaced bumper
Air cleaner mod
Oil just changed, including tranny and brake fluid, gear and engine oil.
New air filter
Other various things fixed.

The cons:
The transmission is very worn out. It will shift in all gears, but will often grind. It also makes a terrible clatter/grinding noise when the truck is running, indicating it is worn. It also leaks out the back shaft. It has no nut on the output yoke.
The speedometer does work, but requires an older 2x4 4spd, or a 4x4 5spd tranny with an older T case to work. It is mechanical.
The truck needs all new tires. Two are flat, but It can be driven with four tires.
It needs a new exhaust system. Not critical.
The bed is in fair shape. It has no tailgate. It is OK but has quite a few cracks in it. The left bed side has a busted weld and wobbles a little.
The windshield has a crack in the top middle. Not a bad one, but it might not pass inspection. It also leaks at the bottom right.
The truck is completely rust free, except for one spot. The leaky windshield allowed water to run down to the right cab threshold and rust the floor out just a little. It's not bad. It should be an easy fix. I have treated the rusted area with rust paint to prevent rust. Other than that, the truck is rust free.
It needs new weather stripping on the doors.
The seat needs to be reupholstered.
The truck can use some new dash and door panels.
Needs a coolant flush.
AC blower fan needs some work.

I'm starting it at $2500, AS IS. I'll try to put a 4spd tranny in and fix a few of the other issues. If I do, I will have to raise the price to $3000 and will include the worn tranny for you to either rebuild or sell. I'm negotiable too. Give me a shout and we'll talk. If you have any questions, please PM me, and I'll answer them the best I can. I wish I could keep the truck, but I just don't have the money. I hope she'll go to someone else who can fix her up proper. I'm choosing to post it here first before I put it up on Craigslist. Thanks for looking

No longer for sale. Decided to keep her. I'm preparing her for farm use plates and a 4spd tranny. She'll be my daily driver.
