Got my new lower intake, now a new head is on the way.

Glad I was able to source a new, old stock lower intake to replace my cracked one. Got a call from the machine shop regarding the head. It was warped .0045, had 2 cracked seats that were repairable, and a third that cracked clean thru to exhaust port. So I had the joy of buying a rebuilt head. All this from a leaky intake gasket and seeping headgasket repair that seemed pretty routine to start.

Im not that competent when it comes to engine rebuilding, but you are saying the bottom of the head was warped beyond repair? Or are you saying that where the intake bolts to the head is warped? I ask because currently my exhaust manifold has some big cracks in it and so I am wondering if there is a defect with the head that would have to be corrected before reinstalling the replacement i bought, I shall see when I pull the manifolds.

Front to back the head was warped too much to true up, hence my seeping gasket. The one crack thru exhaust valve seat clear thru to the port was the nail in the coffin. It came as a shock to me to say the least.
