This morning I was greeted with a puddle of diesel. Removed the strap and the tank is full of rust under the strap. Half a tank and leaking so I dropped it out of there. The rest of the tank is in bad shape so I ordered a 38 gallon one. I wan't going to do the mod but looks like I'm getting pushed into it, LOL. I hope I can get it into there, the 5er hitch has it pretty well bolted down for removing the bed.
I moved the exhaust to the side and am soaking the bolts to take off the class IV hitch or whatever it is. I'm sure that will be in the way too but will of course go back on.

Good morning Mike!
Yeah, my aux tank is 40 gallons but because I don't fill it all the way (expansion) there is a useable 33 gallons there. 19 front, 38 rear plus 33 equals 90 gallons equals at $4 a gallon $360 fill up,

That's for sure! I just hope my spare fits on there OK. The Mare does sit up high, even with the air bags deflated, so I'm hoping it will be OK.
You got that right. On my trip I noticed a drip or two and just thought the rear end was leaking. This time it was more then a drip or two.

Glenn you seem to be going through a tough time. If I would have known you could live this well on a retirement from working on the railroad I would have became a different type of engineer.

Richard, I saved your thread and was going to contact you about the bag of '50'! LOL
Phil, your better off the way you are assuming you have regular hours at your job. Mine was 24/7 on call. 70-80 hours a week, zero family life. I wouldn't wish that job on my dog!! Actually I love my dog but just trying to say its a lousey job. Rail Road Retirement pays about 30% more them SS but we paid in about 30% more while we were working.
