I PM'd him from here a few times. I think he gets them on his phone. Took him a day or so to respond.

 

I did the same thing a week ago or so. He said he needed to clear a lot of trees to get a signal, I told him to get cuttin! He said he'd probably be off of fte for a little while.

 

I told him to put his dish in the top of one of the trees! LOL!!!

 

Lots of fun today. Full truck load of 6 people (picked up my wife's mom and sisters at the airport 2 hours from home). Turning into a parking lot at a park and heard a bang, followed by no power steering!
So while everyone else had a good time at the park, I got to take a death-defying ride through downtown Portland in a prius taxi to the parts store and back to get a new power steering line. At least I had tools with me!

 

Oh no!!! Not a Prius! LOL!! Just kiddin!

That sucks your day got ruined. I'll be changing the pump on mine before long. I have one ready and waiting.

 

When mine did that I just said screw it and drove it to the parts store. LOL. Wasn't a terrible drive with no power steering.

I sprayed the connector on the PS pump that fails with FF, and re-spray it occasionally to keep it from rusting and failing again.

 

The hard line just blew out of the nut for the fitting on mine.

 

Yeah, thats what they all do.
Its a bad design, but they keep making it.

 

ATX to MTX Swap

Looking around on teamzx2 (the forum for my escort zx2) and found the trans swap im thinking of doing.

Teamzx2 has a lot of good info... and some people are helpful, but overall I find there to be a lot of flamers... sarcastic people.. and just overall not a lot of people willing to help.

For example have you seen a writeup on FTE that starts out with "I WROTE THIS AND I WANT SOME MONEY IF YOU USE IT FOR PROFIT" or "ID BE WILLING TO DO THE SWAP FOR THE RIGHT PRICE"

Im pretty sure ive had at least a half dozen times people on FTE just saying "hey ill send ya the parts if you pay shipping" or "hey give me a call anytime you need some help" or offer up their shop for me to come tackle the job with their help.
Not to mention themzx2's organization is terrible. I like FTE just having "94.5-97 7.3 PSD" it makes it simple for me to find. lol

Just sayin. yall r awesome! And DAMIT im gunna make it to RRE next year if it bankrupts me! Prolly wont bankrupt me, but my boss doesnt like me taking that much time off lol

 

I am a sculptor and was wondering why I can't find a fabrication page on this site? I am assuming there are a lot of people doing there own bodywork and other fabrication and forming? I would like to be helpful, but I am a total newbie to fixing my truck. (Gotta learn by doing right!?) I do know about fabrication though! I was trained in metal fabrication and casting, and I run a company where I provide consulting for manufacturing and production of custom projects.

 

Also, being a newbie I made the mistake of posting a classified in the general forum...oops. Thankfully some of you stepped up an told me about the classified area. I saw I needed at least 25 posts, which I know have and tried to post a classified post, for my 1997 F250 7.3L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel, but I can't get it to let me post! Any thoughts why? I messaged the forum overseer, but haven't heard back yet.

 

did you really post a classified ad in the general forums, or was it just a pigment of your imagrination?

i answered why you cant post yet in your other thread.

but to say it again for others with the same question, it sometimes takes the forum software up to 24 hours to recognize your post count is over the 25 post minimum and grant you full forum powers.
