the official OBS diesel off topic thread
Late reply!
I was fueling up the other day (trying to anyways) and pumped probably 50 cents in it, and it just sat in the filler neck. It never flowed into the tank. I remembered messing with that vent hose when I did the mod, so I reached up on top of the tank and pulled the dag gum thing clean out of the tank and wouldn't you know it... I pumped $20 in it in about 30 seconds lol. I'm not sure what the deal is with it as it doesnt appear clogged, but ill probably end up replacing it with a regular nipple without the check valve and saying to heck with it
Thanks Glenn!

Grandpa bear model Fisher wood stove
After the recent trip to WV I finally convinced my wife we need a wood stove for the living room.
A couple buddies and I went Sunday and got a real dandy of a stove. An old Fisher Grandpa bear . From what I read Fisher made some good stoves. This is one of their largest models and is said in literature to heat 2000+ sq ft. Luckily our 1300sq ft house shouldn't be an issue I hope.
I did some work on it tonight and brought it in with some more help. Hopefully tomorrow a couple quotes to install it won't screw my plans over too bad. My insurance company requires me to pay for install. Dang ins co gonna ruin the world.

I flew all the way down to Houston for training and this dang weather shut the shop down. Of 10 people that were supposed to attend training, I was the only one that made it to town LOL
sooooo I flew across the country to sit on my butt in the hotel watching the news and catching up on email

Around here, we call that a "dusting" lol. We've had 6 inches on the ground for 3 days now. Gives me an excuse to drive the 7.3.
That wood stove will work wonders Aaron! My grandma and grandpa have one almost identical to it and theyve used it to heat their two story house for decades. You can bet it'l make you sweat if you put too much wood in it!

I don't see how some of you deal with this cold stuff. We hit 10° here this am with a wind chill of zero they said. Only got up near freezing for the high. A couple of days of this has been more than enough for me.
The only upside is, I only have to wait until Saturday until it hits 70°. That's typically still a bit cool, but I'm sure it will feel warm after this week.
