I guess you just get used to the cold. After a week or tow of single digit overnight lows here, teens feels pretty comfortable. I really think there is a big psychological (or maybe physiological) component to it because I know the first time it gets down into the 30s in the fall around here, you're freezing after a long, hot summer, but by December or January the 20s feel about like shirt sleeve weather. It's a little odd.
The kids seem to get kind of immune to it too. We were all out sledding behind the tractor the other night for a couple hours and it didn't really seem to phase them. I think the temperature was in the teens.

if I had a white xlt I would go with it however I have a green rusty xl and I will sand and paint the plastic chrome to match body color. I will run the clear lenses with colored bulbs and see how it goes.
Guys at work here brought in the newspaper (For you millennials, that's a paper publication, with new stories printed on it, kind of like a magazine, but bigger and it comes out every day). This past weekend marks the 40th anniversary of the "Blizzard of '78" here in NE Ohio. It was more or less a hurricane on Lake Erie in the middle of winter. Some places had 20' snow drifts and it took the National guard a week or more to dig out some of the cars and trucks that were buried. It was only abouy 30" of snowfall, but the winds were gusting into the 80 MPH (higher than that on the lake itself) range which made drifting a real issue. Honestly I'm a little jealous. I don't know what it is about a good winter storm, but it makes me feel alive and I really enjoy the challenge.
And yeah, it's supposed to be 50* F here today. Stupid weather...
This is the off topic thread, so nothing is really off topic here.
For the gauges, I've not really noticed that much an issue with the gauges themselves. If you're not getting a good reading, generally the issue is either wiring, the tank selector valve (which also switches the wiring for the sending units) or the sending units themselves.
Yes, you can put the Bronco tank in or a tank from what Ford called an F26E. The Bronco tank sticks down a bit lower, but the modification process is well documented and a quick search of the tech/mod folder should turn up a decent number of results.
