I have a spare block, for me I'd just build my own if the need arises. I guess thats a good price considering the warranty but its at least double what it would cost to do it myself, and if I did it myself it would be with some fortified components. For $2k I could get some nice stuff. My spare block I bought from a guy who said it had been rebuilt a year or so before I got it with an RV cam. It had an edelbrock 4 bbl and a performer RPM intake, and edelbrock valve covers. Thats about all I know about it, and I have bought enough used stuff to know that just because I was told it was a good running rebuild doesn't make it true. If I blow the stock block in my truck I'd probably pull it and swap it for that spare one and give it a chance, then rebuild the stock one.
