1999 V10 4wd f250

My new to me Ford V10 F250 4wd 130,000 miles - transmission very briefly hesitates when I am stopped and accelerate. Is this a problem? I had the transmission fluid changed just after I got the truck as well as all other fluids changed as a precaution. The truck runs great, although a little play in the steering. Thanks, Ron SW Florida

I don't think it's the trans from what you describe. It sounds like the inherent slop in the driveshaft and they all do it. If it accelerates from a stop with a "clunk" about the time it gets moving, it's the driveshaft and perfectly normal.

My 2001 does the same thing. It worried me a bit until I found this forum and my concern was eliminated.
