Hey everyone! First time posting. I've been reading around forums for a while for my 96 f250 460 on improving mpg and efficiency, and some of them mention a simple thing to do is cut off these "horns".

My roommate is a mechanic for a Ford dealership, and HE'S never even heard of these. Probably just some nickname?

Anyways, could anyone show me some pictures of where these are and what they look like?

the intake tubes between ur air filter/box and the throttle body, theres a black connection in the middle with a hose coming out, d/c air tubes, an cut what looks like trumpet horns back as far as you can while leaving enuff room to put hoses back on.

 

Okay figured out why I couldn't find them before... Looks like they were already cut off by the previous owner. I took those tubes off, and sure enough there are saw marks along the edge of the plastic
