Tight brakes and steering

Hey guys I just finished installing my new 7.3 powerstroke engine. I have been test driving it and the brakes are really hard to push but still work. Also the steering wheel is really hard to turn. I checked ad topped up powersteering fluid and brake fluid and still same thing

Very likely a bad pump because that is the one common element - other than the Mercon V transmission fluid for the power steering pump. If you filled with PS fluid, flush it and try again with synthetic or dino Mercon V-grade transmission fluid. I just had to replace my pump, but the fluid was correct.
